must have+ pp form in different tenses

1-I arrived home yesterday. i was supposed to talk to my father but i saw that he wasn't home i asked my brother and he told me: he must have gone to the cinema
2- Today i said to my mother: i arrived home yesterday but dad wasn't home and she immediately said: he must have gone to the cinema
1 and 2 are in two different tenses but the structure of must have pp is the same. are these two structures correct? is it possible for the second one: he must have been gone to the cinema
