must and habituality

In my variety of English, must does not allow an habitual reading in examples such as this.

He must leave for the office at 6am. (today, *every day)

On the other hand, has to does allow such readings.

He has to leave for the office at 6am. (today, every day)

Habitual must is not a problem in my variety of English, in either meaning.

There goes Old Man Westly again. The old fool must visit his daughter every day.
