2.you must know him.
1 is guess and 2 is strict advice can I use ''MUST" for strict guess.
For example in sense of " I am sure you know him"
Another example,
James asked me give money to jacob." Who is Jacob" I asked. James said, " He was your class fellow .you must know him"
Here james wants say you know him when you will see Jacob you will remember.
