Is it true to say, e.g:
Muskmelon, when gets ripe, becomes watery
when not opened, spoils and dies

If you do not open it(to eat it), it will become spoiled and nonexistant.

And,'persian melon' is a better word than muskmelon, I think.Have heard that students ate it with bread, for lunch, centuries ago.

I had heard the name "muskmelon" but had assumed it was a type of melon found in Asia. I had not heard of a "Persian melon" so I just looked them up. It seems that "muskmelon" refers to several related species of melon, including the Persian melon, as well as two I sometimes eat myself, the honeyd
