Music media

Please proofread:

There are so many elements in mainstream music today that I really don’t think it can be broken down to the preferences of our youth. First off, what is music? There are so many different genres of music, and pop music is just the tip of an iceberg. Music in itself is the artist’s expression of his or her own story, whether it’s the song writer or the vocalist, the message they’re voicing is an experience or made up experience of a passage. Music shows like X-factor, American, The Voice are only a visage of the music industry. I’m sure it’s much more than just the glitz and glam of all the celebrities on stage performing in front of a theater audience. Don’t forget that visualization also plays a big factor, because what we see is usually easier to sell than just an earful of melodies. And of course because it's on television, the ratings have to be consistent at a certain level in order to continue the show. The viewers have to enjoy what they see as well as the music being performed. So, if it's a catchy tune and a good showman or woman on stage, it's hard not to believe that kids, teenagers, or whomever in the audience won't be magnetized by it and become a fan. There's no doubt what we're exposed to has a huge hand in what we like or dislike personally. Not to add anything played long enough will eventually make you get tolerate it, unless it's temple music, and believe it or not Yoga instructors probably love the jingles of temple music.
