Music and the arts

Music and arts can give us peace of mind and satisfy mour sipiritual needs.

Hi,

I ran across the above in a textbook for the senior high kids here. Is it better to rewrite it as "music and art?" Thanks.

I would write 'music and the arts'. The idea is that several different arts are involved.

Thanks, Mister.
If so, then can I use " the musics and the arts" because it's more well-balanced in structure?"

NO. 'Arts' can be plural and countable, but 'music' cannot.
