Muscle something into somewhere

By referring to the dictionary I can probably the guess the meaning literally,

but still I wanna make sure,

does this mean to put something into somewhere while fitting it into the place as well?

TIA!

Hi, The idea is 'using strength to force something into a space that that is not completely suitable'. The phrase is more often used about people, eg He muscled his way into the meeting, although he wasn't invited. Sometimes the meaning is literal, but often it's figurative.
