0Why should Murphy's law be some kind of law, after all? I reckon it is merely a generell rule which one recalls in unhappy situations, and which seems to spend some kind of comfort: Ah, Murphy's law and than one can laugh or at least smile, as for me, a usually smile. Technically Murphy's law is not linked to law and order. Probably it is meant to be some kind of verbal joke. Murphy's rule does

00I was kidding with regard to the nonsense! Nevertheless, of course he had made a lot of money, as the copy of the book has been sold several times since ever. The important part is a idea like this hits the nerve only the very first time. I should come with something completely different and never heard before:-)02br

0Of course I meant the weather but I don't see an example for Murphy's law, it is just weather, nature or this sort of thing:-) Sometimes it rains, sometimes, it doesn't..0-

0 What I think is that Murphy's law is just a general statement (or 'law') made by Murphy (I think that's his name) from his observations and experiences. I wonder if you agree with me. After all, that law is not very inspiring or motivating. Sometimes, I think it is a bit awkward. It seems to suggest that eveything will turn bad and you would have a sense of despair.02br

00I agree with you that Murphy's Law has no connection whatsoever with what will happen in the future. I believe if everyone refers to Murphy's Law whenever they talk about the possibility of something happening, then there will be no great inventions and explorations. I guess Murphy's Law is

0This thread was really confusing me until I found the part about someone having written a book called 'Murphy's Law'.02br

00Did you all know that 'Murphy's law' is an old saying in English? Alternatively known as 'sod's law'. Usually expressed as 'if something can go wrong, it will go wrong'.02br
