Multiuse

Does "multiuse" work in these context?

"The left click button has a multiuse in this software/game"

"Here's the multiuse of the left click button for this software/game"

Hi Yes, that definitely works, but ... I find it slightly quicker to read if it's 'multi-use'. The hyphen will probably drop out of language soon; maybe, it is already old-fashioned But, yes, you're clear.

  • It brings up a menu perhaps?

I find this better:
"The left click button has multiple uses in this software/game."

This is a multi-use button.
