Multiple Numbers Comparison

I'm so confused with "Multiple Numbers Comparison"
1 - which one is correct??
ex:
the number of boys is extremely bigger than girls
the number of boys is extremely bigger than that of girls
2.-which one is correct??
the number of men is 3 times as big as that of women
the number of men is 3 times bigger than that of women
please help me.thank you so much!

You are really going about this problem in the wrong way. We do not express those comparisons that way at all. This is what we use:

1-- There are a lot more boys than girls.
2-- There are 3 times more men than women.
