Multiple clauses after a colon?

Hi. Is it correct to have multiple clauses after a colon, like the incomplete example sentence below? I think you can tell making the soup involves more than two steps, as indicated by the ellipsis. (I hope I've written the ellipsis correctly.)
Thank you in advance for your help.

This is how you make the soup: First, fill a small pot halfway with water.... And finally, pour the content into a bowl and enjoy.
