#3 seems very strange. Surely "turn into glue" would be more natural than "make glue".

I don't have any problem at all with 'make glue'. When water and flour are mixed together, the mixture is glue. You can hang your wallpaper with it...or, if you'd rather eat it, you can use it for clogging up your arteries.
