Hi,

I will vote for the third one.

Thanks.

Toms, you really have to stop voting here. Correct grammar is not something to be voted on. 'Despite' does not collocate with 'of'.

The correct answer, though a form that is not so much used nowadays, is A.

To be honest, this was the option I immediately rejected, because I have learned that "despite" is not followed by "of"! Is this an exception?

No, no exception, English 1. Toms had it wrong.

Ahh, Ok. Thank you!

Hi,

It should be either 'inspite of' or 'despite'..........and sorry I didn't notice that 'of' in that option.

And I always go for the present usage.......one more thing.......no one has the right to ask me to stop voting whether it is wrong or right.........Thanks.
