The given answear is A, why?

The given answear is B, why?

3.You should have put the milk in the icebox; I expect it ____ undrinkable by now
B has become
C had become

The given answear is C, why?but there is a "by now " at the end of the sentence, so my choice is B, which one is right?

1 The given answer is A, why?-- Perhaps because it is a BrE test? To me, B is fine too.

2. The given answer is B, why?-- Only B produces a complete sentence.

3. The given answer is C, why?but there is a "by now " at the end of the sentence, so my choice is B, which one is right?-- B is right; the answer sheet is wrong.

For question #1, in BrE, the first three answers would all be acceptable.
