mug root beer in Canada

I ordered a pizza delivery with a can of mug root beer yesterday. I had expected the beer tasted like a wine or like those regular beers. But it did not. It tasted just like pepsi or cola. Any comment about this?

BTW, if you order a pizza at about $23 including a .delivery fee, then how much you would like to tip the delivery guy?

Thanks a lot.

Any comment about this? Root beer is not really beer. It has a different taste, as you know, and it's not alcoholic.

15% and round-up is a general rule? How about the following situations:

1) $600 funiture with free delivery?

2) $600 funiture with a delivery charge?

For each of these cases, how to tip the delivery guy? Thanks a lot.

I usually give a delivery guy who helped carry it in and get it in place about $20. This would be for a heavey sofa brough upstairs, or a refrigerator or washer dryer. If there are many things (like an entire moving truck) then more. On the other hand, if they are surly and not helpful, I won't tip at all.

By the way, 'Mug' was probably the brand name of the root beer you got.

I still feel strange. Since it is not actually a beer, why does it put "beer" in its name?

I think originally root beer was a homemade product that used a fermentation process in the same way that beer and ale do. The commercially made root beer, however, is nothing like the homemade beverage and has no alcoholic content, although the homemade brew probably does contain a small amount. There is another popular soft drink, again with no alcoholic content, called ginger ale (or sometim

Just the accidents of history. Perhaps it is made the way beer is made. Words often take their meanings from the other words around them! Root beer is a compound noun.

A prairie schooner is not a schooner.
A Guinea pig is not a pig.
