Mud bath

- Last week I went to Alaska to bath in the mud and a hot spring. My skin got soft and rosy.

- Is this sentence natural to say?

I prefer: "Last week I went to Alaska to bathe in the mud and the hot springs . " None of the things I changed are actually grammatically wrong . However, it seems awkward to switch from "the mud" (general) to " a hot spring" (specific), I find "got" a bit, well, unimaginative, and "bath" is not commonly used as a verb in my experience.
