Grammar

much or many?

Is there anybody out there who is kind enough to answer my question?

Which is correct?

a. He studied (for) as many as three hours.

b. He studied (for) as much as three hours.

Time is uncountable, but hour is countable. That is the point of this question.

Thank you in advance.
