But, like megalomaniac, the word egomaniac is thrown around by lots of people who don't mean much more by it than blowhard or know-it-all.
(1) Does the phrase thrown around mean 'lots of people often use the word 'egomaniac' to describe somebody'?
(2) I know much more to it than that means 'the real situation is much more complicated/important than what we think'. In this case, much more by it than is equal to much more to it than?
(3) Does the meaning of whole sentence is 'like megalomaniac, the word egomaniac is more often used by lots of people when they try to describe something more derogatory than using blowhard or know-it-all?
