I know that "much better" is correct but I have heard people say "much more better". Are they correct?

No, it is not correct. I use it, however, from time to time to be emphatic - but only with people who know that I know better.

The -er ending in better means more, so you're saying the same thing twice when you use more with -er forms.

more better, more kinder, more happier, more older, more thinner, and so on, are all wrong.

Many people who use the term get it from the song "Tell Him No" by Travis and Bob (1959). It's grammatically incorrect, but the song makes it effective.
