The sentence that I read in the thread below.



b. I very much liked the idea.

would that mean
1. I liked the idea very much.
or
2. I did indeed like the idea. ( say I am contradicting someone who has said I did not like the idea)

b. I very much liked the idea.
would that mean
1. I liked the idea very much. [Yes. This is the same as b above. b is stated a little more formally. 1 is the ordinary everyday was of saying it. You can do the same with other verbs.
