Much

Is "It unsually rains much here in winter" okay?

Top answer

No. We normally use 'a lot' rather than 'much' in affirmative sentences. I take it that you meant to write "' u sually'.

How about "We usually have much rain in summer" and "We had too much rain in summer last year"?

We normally use 'a lot' rather than 'much' in affirmative sentences. ( seem to have read that somewhere before.)
lucas21c"We had too much rain in summer last year"?
That's OK, though I'd replace the words I have underlined with 'last summer'.

If I say just 'last summer', I am afraid that it could be understood for 'in summer this year'. If 'in summer last year' sounds awkward, how do I change that?
