Hi there. I've looked through a lot of forums on the internet and still haven't found an exact answer. I'm from Australia and I need to know, when do you add a full stop to an abbreviation. Is it Mr or Mr., Mrs or Mrs., St or St. (for street, or is it saint!), N or N. (as in abbreviation for north), vs or vs., pm or p.m.? I'm so stuck! I've been writing my essays differently every time! I have seen that American English (AmE) use full stops more often that British English (BrE), but I just need a straight answer! Please help!
Cheers, Ethan.
