Whats the difference between 2 sentences. Which one to use if Hotel manager who had resigned in many years ago or just recently?

The time of his employment is not indicated in either sentence. The first doesn't even say that he "used to" work there. You can say Mr. Jones no longer works at the Plaza Hotel or Mr. Jones doesn't work at the Plaza Hotel or Mr. Jones has never worked at the Plaza Hotel.
