Mr. Breszinki, Mr. Rockefeller, Mr. Curtis

When watching the latest news this morning I had a deja vu or better a deja ecute (? - my French is still as bad as ever) while John Roberts talked to former security advisor Zbigniew Breszinski. Although his name strongly points to a Polish background I believe his accent sounds more like elevated American English. I am not sure but it reminds me Rockefeller's way of talking and Tony Curtis' interpretation of it in Some like it hot. Is that so?

Who can give me a few pointers on Mr. Breszinki, Mr. Rockefeller and Tony in his biggest role?

Best regards, Igor Merfert

Who does not actually remember Mr. Breszinki's sound profile please go here http://home.arcor.de/t2c/brzesin.mp3 (mp3 audio, 751KB)

No, you're way off. "Zbig", as his buddies like to call him, has a very thick foreign accent. He does speak English very well and fluently, as an academic-type would. I suppose yo

Uh, okay. Seems as if my memory has tricked me. Anyway, what sort of accent does Tony Curtis use in some like it hot? If it does not resemble with Zbig is it somehow connected to Mr. Rockefeller?

Thanks again, Igor Merfert

Curtis is Hungarian so maybe it's that.

I don't know; I've never seen that film. My general assumption is that any movie with Marilyn Monroe in it can't be very good, but perhaps I'm wrong about that.

You just have to say "Natalie Novak" and I'm well away.

True, but the movie was **** even in its day. See my list and see what you think.

[nq:1]Both ****, plus Kim Novak couldn't act her way out of wet paper bag on her best day -- the essence of the "dumb blonde" actress, is what she was.[/nq]
Nevertheless, she starred in the greatest film ever made, Vertigo. Hitchcock reportedly was disa
