Movies to watch

Dear teachers

Is this text OK?

You know, I have watched so many movies that I couldn't count them... and yet my vocabulary is not good enough to pass some International English tests. I asked a friend from MO (USA) to take it and he aced it with ease despite all the British trickery (his words). Although efficient, easier and helpful, acquisition of vocabulary from movies is not as prolific as reading novels, but who has the time?

Thank you

Hi,

You can't say that acquistion is 'prolific'. You need to reword the underlined part.

So, you can't say 'prolific acquisition', meaning 'successful acquisition'?

No. 'Prolific', meaning roughly 'producing output', is usually applied
