Cool, but I was hoping for Led Zep. Oh well.
I actually knew this guy, back in the day, and his last name was Zepp, and when he got a puppy did he name it Led? No! It didn't even occur to him!

Speaking of which this goes back to the old Meriam C. Cooper/Willis O'Brien project from the thirties "The War Eagles" in which explorers discover a lost race of Vikings who ride on the backs of giant eagles who then ultimately end up fighting off an invasion by ***** flying Zeppelins in a pitched battle over the skies of New York City.
Oh, and the Viking's lost valley? There were dinosaurs there, too.

There's a movie I kind of wish had been made.

Oh ***... does that sound like a Charles H. Schneer/Ray Harryhausen project or what? I'm definitely looking forward to the WAR EAGLES comic. I had just been thinking that although a ZEPPELIN VS. PTERODACTYLS movie would be a pretty hard sell (except maybe as a Sci- Fi Channel turkey) it would almost certainly get greenlit as a comic book with the right talent behind it.
I myself have been working on a project with a similarly bizarre, cross-polinated concept based on an old Pulp magazine story, the rights to which happened to be going public domain this year. I ain't spillin' them beans, though!
