Move over.

I've heard people saying 'move over.' Are the following correct?

1) Could you please move over to that seat.- To tell someone to move to another seat.

2) Could you please move over.- when someone's blocking the way to your seat on a public transport.

Please suggest me better ways to use move over if there's any. Thank you.
