"Movable type of letterpress printing" and "Typecasting"

Can anyone tell me please what each of these is?
I did a small search but I couldn't find a clear explanation about them. I just found out that "movable type of letterpress" is by carving the letters and putting the inked letters beside each other on a paper to create a page.
