Seems like a cultural thing, GPY. In our culture, when a baby is born, different mothers use different methods to shape the head of the baby. See this please.

GPYI see. In that case "shape" and "mould" both work.
The Olmecs had the practice of deforming the heads of their babies. You can see it in their sculptures and skulls.
The technical term is "artificial cranial deformation." Apparently, it used to be a rather common practice in many cultures.
