Mottivation letter for university

Hello!
I am applying for a master and trying to write my mottivation letter.I am very confused in what I should include or not and probably I have made lots of mistakes as well.I am in need of your help and would like to hear any comments you have.Thank you in advance for your help.
So here it is:(I dont know why, but the last paragraph has smaller letters...)

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Stefani-Erika Papadaki, currently in my last year at Technological Educational Institute of Crete, would like to apply for the master of sustainable energy, line of energy savings, of your reputed university.

During the past 5 years, I studied civil engineering and the emphasis of my studies was to understand the fundamental principles of structure of buildings. But among other courses we had also environmental and energy saving topics which I found very interesting and exciting as well. This is because I am half Greek and half Finnish and I have seen two extremely different types of dealing the environmental problems and have been inspired to become part of the dealing process.

Especially in Greece with the sun shining about 2700 hours per year, and the Greeks not taking full advantage of it, I have become very eager to change their perspective on energy savings. Especially now with the economical crisis and the planet slowly "dying", it is very important for everyone to do their best to save energy and money. I believe that obtaining a Masters degree will widen my horizons and provide the necessary background for my career as well.

In addition to this, I am very interested in an experience abroad and seeing how the Nordic way of leaving is, as I have been to Finland only for vacations.
