Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

My name is Daniel *, I am 23 years old and live in *, Germany. After graduation from High school I went to the University of * to study Business Administration and will finish my basic study in March 2007.

If one were to ask my friends to describe me they would describe me as a very open minded, purposeful, vital and reliable fellow.
My most advantage characteristic is being unsatisfied with my own work until it is perfect.
Finding goals and, as a consequent to this, work very hard on my abilities leads me not only in work and university but also in sports to great achieves.

Travelling in order to understanding cultures and believes combined with awareness of the goals I’m looking for brought me twice to England where I found my sympathy to the English language and culture.

2005 I worked for * in England at the vertical marketing division. As I already mentioned, I really liked being there and because * was very pleased with my work we could arrange a second internship in the following semester break.
In 2004 I got the opportunity to work for *, a consulting company. This firm gave me the most exciting job I’ve ever had. I wrote a market overview on the pharmaceutical and biotechnological branch in Germany. The project also included a presentation of my work. Both, the paper and the presentation in front of experts made this job a remarkable experience.
My latest internship and current job is at *, an optical fiber carrier. Since 2005 I had numerous projects, e.g. an excel based cost calculation, including a rang of parameters and options. But also day-to-day business, like the documentation of our network with map point.

These internships gave me an idea of what business education is trying to prepare me for and help me understanding that the education at the University of * is not enough for me. My goal must be an international education that gives me the tools I need to have.

This summer I was listening to a speech from Geoff * about studying abroad at the * when I instantly knew that this is what I want. In a personal discussion Mr. * he fascinated me by showing pictures of the campus and its environment. He told me about a German Club at the * and the huge rate of international students from all over the world.

Due to his words and strong belief that the * and I will benefit from accepting me as a student at you university, I am applying for admission to the Master of Business Administration.

Yours sincerely,

Daniel *
