Dear admission officers.

First of all, as an introduction, I would like to present myself. My full name is Mehdi Mansour and I was born in , which is the capital of . I attend a British/Dutch oriented school, where I have focused my secondary studies on a vast British patterned Syllabus, which was followed on from The University of Cambridge, from the . I have attended this school since 2002, and will end my secondary studying career by leaving the school on May 2009, obtaining the following certificates from the Exam Board of the :




1- AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary Qualifications) in Mathematics, Advanced Physics, Information Technology and Economics. Date: May/June 2009


2- Ordinary Level/ IGCSEs in 11 subjects (International General Certificate of Secondary Education). Date : May/June 2008


3- An ICE (International Certificate of Education). Date: May/June 2008


I have applied to the Electrical Engineering & Computing Technology Program, at the , as I know that with the experience that the institution has with Engineering, is widely known in the country as highly ranked, thus my future is placed within the right hands.

After researching universities in Canada, I have come to a conclusion that the , in the , is the perfect match for my aims and goals as studying for an Electrical Engineering & Computing Technology Program . Among several great features of this institution, the most valued, in my opinion, are the very high standard of studies and the very diverse fields available . Students from all over the world are attending a variety of programs and are able to expand their knowledge and share different cultures and opinions within such institutions as the . This is exactly what I am looking for. In addition, I believe that will be a perfect place to meet new people with cultures that are different to mine, which might help me understand more about other people’s perspectives and ideas.
