Hi,my name is cian and im currently applying for a college in denmark
i have to write a motivational letter and its for the college of my dreams
ive never been good at writing letters or at english due to a terrible teacher in my school,but i speak it fluently
anyways here is my letter,open to all improvements and constructive criticism so please do
Dear Sir/Madam
I appreciate this moment to provide further background information in support of my application for entrance into your AP programme in Computer Science in 2014 autumn term.
First-off, I would like to present some background information on myself. My name is Cian Martin and I’m currently in 6th year enrolled in St. Bricin’s College. I am 17 years of age and I am living in the Republic of Ireland. I have been fascinated by computers since the age of 5 and last year, I got my work experience in a local College, helping out in the IT department. That work experience had really motivated me to pursue a career in Computers. I was curious to know how computers and certain applications work and both, my career guidance teacher and my work experience mentor had recommended that I enrol in a Computer science course.
My main reason, in applying to UCN is the innovative teaching and amazing education system. I have read on the website and in your brochure that in classrooms and lectures, the focus is on teamwork and preparing students for work in the global work-environment. Students in Denmark are taught less theory and more practical. This, I find, is very important. My second reason is that Denmark was voted the happiest country in the world. Everyone I have interviewed and talked to about UCN, have praised it and found it to very educational and positive. A show I watched called “Scandamania” portrayed Denmark as a utopian society, filled with happy and helpful people, I want to be apart of that society,I want to be apart of UCN.
