Motivational letter for Research Master

I need a little help and feedback for my motivational letter. Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks!
Dear Sir/Madam:

I’m writing to express my great desire of getting admitted at the Research master programe in Social Sciences from***, for the year 2012.
I’ve graduated in 2011 from University of ***with a Bachelor degree in Sociology, with a specialization in Organizational Management. Continuing my education with a graduate programe is a natural step for me, giving the fact that I’m considering to pursue an educational career. Also, after three years of studies I noticed that I’m really interested in researching social trends and phenomenons, striving to find explanations for them, as a crucial step in knowing our society and improving it. I’ve chosen this specific programe because of its strong focus on statistics and methodology, two of the subjects that were really appealing for me. In the same time, the minor Social Sciences, with its institutional approach of the social realities, from a macro point of view is one that suits my interests and my previous work. For example, in my bachelor thesis I tried to find what kind of measures taken by a labor union organization are more prone to generate member’s participation in the organization’ s activities, which would showcase factors that could determine commitment and involvement, in this kind of organization.
During my studies I noticed that my curiosity about the “life” of an organization is enhancing, while I was intensively working and practicing statistical operations, through school projects or voluntary work. At this point I consider my methodology and analysis skills as being fair but I feel that there is a great space for improvement, and I’m 100% dedicated to fill in that space.
I’ve worked for several months as a data collector and since my first 1 at the University I was trying to find in different kind of research instruments possible places for improvement, trying to put myself in the researcher’s place. I am aware that I need to build a more solid base for both theoretical knowledge and empirical research but that’s why I want to study in your master programe.
My experiences abroad made me appreciate multi cultural interaction and made me realize that I’m more motivated and excited working with people from different countries and different backgrounds. The decision of studying abroad followed naturally, and the Netherlands is a great option, being known as an English speaking country. While doing an internship in India, for 5 months starting the fall of 2011, I was really intrigued about the management’s behavior noticed in several companies and the way the employees were performing. Although I was working in a marketing department I was also trying to identify and give feedback to my manager about the processes between different departments, especially because the company in which I was working was a medium start-up.
I really think that the Research Master in Social *** ****is the right programe to continue my studies and develop as a professional and as a person. Thank you for considering my application and I look forward to receiving a positive response.
