Letter Writing
Motivational letter correction
Hello there everyone!
It's my first time here and I'd like to ask some of you native English speakers to read my motivational letter and correct any mistakes, I may have made.
9th February 2013
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is XY and I’m currently studying Information Technologies at YZ. I joined this project in hope of learning something new and visiting foreign country while discovering its culture. Also, participation in this project would help me in the future when I am going to apply for a job.
The main subjects at my school are PC applications, Operating systems, Maths, PC graphics, Programming and Economics and in each of them I have basic to good knowledge. I am also studying two languages at school: English and German. My English level according to CEFR is B2, my German level is A1. Apart from school, I play guitar, read, or browse Internet in search for some interesting articles.
I used to be an Internet magazine editor, where I worked for about 4 months. My task there was to write about various topics from IT and present my view on them while still taking facts in account. Then, after writing my article, I had to insert it into publishing systém and set the date it would publish on the website. During this job, I have ve learned how to control Wordpress publishing system and also my article writing skills got better.
I would like to do something similiar in this project, be it software, or hardware related, for example, working with various software editors or testing hardware parts. I am also open to any music related positions, since I would like to learn something new in this field. The best job for me would be combining the two interests I have mentioned before. While I am not very talkative person, I have good analytical skills and I find myself to be a quick learner.
