Motivational Letter

Hi guys,
I am applying for a scholarship and instead of asking me to upload a motivation letter, they have asked me to answer five questions without exceeding 1000 character.

1. Please write the subject on which you plan to work in a postgraduate program in Turkey.

Electronics Engineering is my favorite, my goal is that to work on Robotics, Intelligence and Control systems.

2. Please specify importance of the subject you tend to work on, your background related to subject and what your contribution will be.

Robotics, Intelligent and Control systems is becoming a part of our lives in all sectors such as communication, education, health and especially in defense. In which the prominent are Military robots, these state-of-the-art machines save lives by performing extremely dangerous tasks without endangering humans. Secondly, Investigating Hazardous Environments Robots have become increasingly important for investigating dangerous environments. I certain in today insecure world we need such inventions and creations. As an electronics bachelor I have much relation to robotics, control and intelligent systems. As I did my final year project on control system side which was funded by National Grassroots ICT Research Initiative Program Govt of Pakistan. Also I did a project on Image processing which was based on control system. In addition, I hope that my multidisciplinary approach to robotics and my fondness for humanoid robot expand the frontiers and Inshaallah excelled me in my goal.

3. If there are any prominent universities or academicians in Turkey concerning your case study, please provide information about them.

I tend to think that since my bachelor’s degree is in electrical electronics engineering, so any sub-discipline of electronics being robotics, intelligence system or control system, would be a proper course for my graduate study. However, due to my favorite subjects Electronics, I would be very fortunate to study in the following courses: Electrical & Electronics Engineering (English) at Middleast Technical University, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Electronics) at Ege University, Electronical Engineering at Uludag University, Electrical & Electronics Engineering at YUzuncu Yil University and so on. The aforementioned universities is my favorite universities in turkey. All these courses embody necessary disciplines I need to learn.

4. Please provide information about your plans after completing your post-graduate study.

As for my future, I have to continue my studies to PhD level in order to truly accomplish my goal of becoming a professional engineer of robotics and intelligence system. Depending on my master’s degree program, I like to advance my knowledge in discipline relating to robotics, intelligence and control systems and innovation in these fields. In addition, I also have plans to research on new and possible lateral humanoid robot inspired by nature. Indeed, I'm a perpetual self-challenger and interactive engineer has the potential to give me a chance to work and research in fields that I truly enjoy while challenging me to excel constantly. In addition, after completing post-graduation, I will come back to my country and will join in university as a teacher of Electronics. I wanted to represent my views and research with others through my thesis paper, articles, lectures in national and international seminar and also with the people and student in my country.

5. Please express the reasons for your department/program of study preferences and briefly explain how your educational background relates to your preferences.

I choose such department because the scope it offers is important. It will grant me the opportunity to advance life for the better. Regarding the relation of my educational background with my preference, I have studied this program in my bachelor degree. It is of great interest and I would like to continue my postgraduate studies in the same. I certain that robot is the need of today modern world, this is my ambition to build a humanoid robot which is totally resemble to a human. To fulfill this goal, I majored in electronics engineering for bachelor studies which acquainted me with how to build a simple robot. However, I have decided to pursue robotics and intelligence system for my higher education in order to be able to design and build a humanoid robot. Thus I would like to work or research on either robotics, control or intelligence systems as they are three of my favorite fields of electronics.
