Could you look at my motivational letter. Dear Doctor,
I am applying for a clinical clerkship in your department for the period of summer 2014 thanks to the exam made by Standing-Committee for Professional Exchange (SCOPE) of International Federation of Medical Students’ Association (IFMSA). My second semester of medical school will be finishing by the time I join your team, and I believe this exchange program will help me gain clinical experience alongside with theoretical knowledge , as well as your department will be a great inspiration for me in building my future career. As a first-year student I am completely interested in neurology and as a person who wants to build his career on neurology, working as an exchange student in your department would be a great pleasure for me. Thus this opportunity for learning neurology from you would extend my knowledge on the subject and I desire to work with you greatly. I am hard working, disciplined, patient, adaptive and a very sociable person. So I believe these traits will help me work with your team extensively. I am a student of XXX which is one of the best medical faculties in our country and our lessons are taught us in English. I am always successful in my exams and I am one of the 77 students who were accepted to this faculty. I graduated my high school with the second highest score among 356 students. I took some examinations to choose my university and I was one of the 500 qualified students for my faculty among two million. My English is great and I listen to audio-books and podcasts every time I get a chance to. I am greatly interested in XXX's culture and medical advancements. Taking part in an exchange with a student from your country will be one of the greatest opportunities I had the chance to take during my studies. The harmonious association of culture and medicine is the perfect balance for a future physician, and I believe this exchange will be a great chance for my future and for the support of my future patients. Looking forward to our collaboration for my clerkship in your department of neurology.
Best Regards, XXX
