00With this letter I would like to explain my motivations for a candidature at the XXX University for my semester abroad.02br

00As a Digital-Media student at the University XXX in XXX I would like to spend one semester in Bangkok. Being open-minded, for me this is a chance not only to fulfil the expected requirements for the Bachelor degree, but rather to use the unique opportunity to experience a foreign country and its people from within.02br

00For me studying in Bangkok would have the advantage to combine private and professional further development.02br

00On the one hand Thailand’s culture is different in every respect and therefore a perfect place to broaden one’s horizon. In particular I’m interested in the Philosophy of Buddhism.02br

00On the other hand Bangkok as one of the Asian tigers, with its fast growing economy and well-developed media sector is specially suited to get to know the Asian business.02br

00Being interested in different types of media, that play a significant role in our environment these days, I did two internships in this field after graduation.02br

00The first one I did for nine month at XXX ,a film production company that is focused on international coproductions for Cinema and Television. Hereafter to gain more experience of the technical preparation, I worked for the XXX, a news service making reports for Television. 02br

00During this practical experiences my interests for the digital media was aroused.02br
02br
00Now in the third semester I’ve nearly completed all obligatory courses and would like to concentrate my further study on the different ways a medium reaches and influences people, since digital media bases most notably on human interaction. 02br

00The main reason I prefer the KMUTT is its wide variety of courses, which offer the possibility to gain experience beyond one’s own nose. In particular the Communication Design Program and the Industrial Design Program are suiting my aim to enhance my education in the field of User-centered Design. In addition the description of the Learning Development course pleasantly surprised and impressed me, since it offers the opportunity to “explore Thai ways of life” and to “appreciate the Thai arts, culture, nature and the environment.”02br

00Being an ambitious and arduous personality with a great team spirit, it would be a great honour to me to express my qualities at the XXX University and to have the chance to live in a highly spiritual country like Thailand. 02br
