Motivation letter to Erasmus programme
Could you please check my motivation letter to Erasmus university?
I would be very thankful
Dear Sir or Madam,
With this letter, I would like to show you why I am interested in studying at the X University as an Erasmus student for the fall term in 2010, to present my reasons for choosing your university and to provide my general background.
I am born in Riga and currently attending the second year of the Geomatics at the Y University in Latvia. Since the eleventh grade I knew that I will study this discipline and I aim to do everything to develop myself on this sphere, for example, I have attended available seminars in these years.
The main reason why I would like to participate in Erasmus programme is a great experience. Experience of adapting oneself to completely different environment, meeting various nation people and growing my communication skills. Also, it is the best way to improve my language skills 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Taking part in Erasmus programme is a great possibility to test my abilities. Accommodation efforts in foreign country inquire the first biggest self-dependency from a student. Erasmus is a serious challenge for every member faculties. It would be an opportunity to feel international and also taste a little part of Greece.
Why Greece? The X University enchains my attention because of courses. Their selection of courses is conformable to my home university’s offered courses for the next term. Greece is very exotic for Latvia, so the challenge to take a part in Erasmus programme exactly in this country is bigger. My target is not to have a tick that I have been a member of this programme but to really experience opportunity, to get to know as much as possible and proficiency what I hope I can carry into effect in the future.
At last but not least, the main Erasmus programme goal is to increase educations quality. It is an effective way to make students interested in expanding their own study perspectives. On this score, my personal purpose is to compare educational level in Greece with my home university educational level, improve myself, find out what is the difference in Greek tuition methods and if I am ready enough for their study system and labor market.
