Please, give me some feedback on my letter,
Dear XXXXX,
I am writing, to apply for a Ph.D. position at the Faculty of XXX, starting in autumn of 20XX, as I got the benefits of Professor XXX teaching at the University of XXX in spring 20XX. Currently I am studying in the XXX Program in XXX at XXX University in XXX. I will complete the double degree requirements in June 2012. I respectfully submit this letter of application, for I believe that my experiences and training make me qualified to accomplish higher levels of academia.
As a Manager, not only did I learn that XXX can have many faces, but I also acquired real world experience, that give me advantages in theoretical studies, as I can relate and reflect on how XXX is integrated in organizations, in the process of formation, development, and execution.
My volitional participation in International Congresses has open new doors for me in the academic field, establishing contacts throughout the world. Listening to the most exceptional, and the most inexperienced, researchers in XXX has manifested my knowledge, and motivation towards my field of expertise.
Facing the last year of my Maters, not only have my language skills improved, but my grades is a proof of my ambition and capacity. With the lack of teaching opportunities for Master students in XXX, to gain more advanced experiences as a researcher, on my request, I will assist one professor in her research.
XXX University will contribute to my pursuit for becoming a Ph.D., by further evolvement in teaching and research, through a course work that correspond to my interests and demands, and to work together with one of the best researchers in the field.
I am enclosing the following documents, Application Form, Reference Forms, Statement of Research Interest, and Resume. Transcripts and TOEFL test score will be forwarded separately. Please let me know if I can provide additional information or writing samples to aid you in the evaluation of my application. I look forward in hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration.
