Dear Sir or Madam,



I am writing to apply for the Master’s Degree in Science programme Master of Disaster Management.

? have completed four years of undergraduate studies in Nursing at the School Of Nursing Pakistan and gained 1^st division. This study gave me an opportunity to learn and apply human health, nursing techniques and dealing with the sick peoples. After this I completed one year Diploma in Lady Health Visitor and gained 1^st division. That study is related with the public dealing and handling the difficult and emergency situation in the field and how to improve the health of people. In nursing I also trained to handling all difficult situations in the field of health.

My previous experiences/education is also relative with that study. In 2006 I got the one year Diploma in Basic Operation Theatre Nursing at PIMS Nursing Collage. That time on 8 November 2005 the major Earthquake occurred in Pakistan about 79,000, people died. That disaster site was near to our hospital and about 20 to 30 thousand injured people came in our PIMS hospital Islamabad. I have a big experience of that situation. I worked as a charge nurse in different departments of the hospital and also the experience of the site situation. So that study is very important for me I have big disaster experience but not theory and special study of disaster management now that is a big apartunties for me to finishing my experience with the study in Disaster Management.

I like nursing profession and I would like to continue my studies in this area and receive Master degree and deal all health situations with the proper way. The opportunity of a Master’s Degree in a well-respected University in the Denmark will help me achieve my career aspirations by setting a very strong foundation for my future entering in healthcare organizations. My aim is to work with effected management and skills to face the disaster and emergency situations.

Therefore I want to gain a deeper theoretical knowledge in disaster management and analytical skills to evaluate and manage the emergency and disaster situation. I think my previous experience help me in that study.

I hope I will select for the program because 1^st I am a nurse and I know how to handle the patient and emergency situations. 2^nd I have experience one of the big disaster in the world.
