Motivation Letter (Master Degree)

I would like to receive opinions and corrections about the motivation letter that i wrote to be approved to a master degree:

I am a current student of a post-graduate programme at XXXXX in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The emphasis of my study has been understanding the fundamental principles of governance and best practices of Technology. Not less important, i also learned about other diverse relevant topics such as accounting, project management and strategic management.
As an IT auditor during the last 5 years, i could analyze and observe financial risks motivated by problems in IT processes. From these professional experiences, i could solidify my perception that the tendency of the business is be suported more and more, day after day, by one technlogy completely managed and organized. The academic development in management in information technology becomes very interesting and exciting to me, but not only because it is essential if we consider that i aspire to lead one IT segment in some big world company, but also because, in my point of view, it will become a necessity to any company in the world.
The knowledge of Information technology Management will allow me to have a deeper insight into IT strategy preparation, implementation and evaluation. With all the uncertainties and changes in the world’s political, economic, social and technological situations, I believe that management must have a solid understanding, supported by a strong academic foundation of how to guide companies through these challenging times. The opportunities and threats posed by globalization makes this aspect of management become even more critical in case of companies in developing countries, like Brazil, which have less educated manpower and found it more difficult to freely compete with the developed ones.
I really believe that no education can be completed without experience. Armed with a solid understanding of academic principles, I can improve my career. This master’s degree will have dual benefits for me. First, it will help me with my plans to become a teacher. More importantly, I will be able to customize and apply the principles I will learn to meet my future company’s as well as my country’s needs. I fully recognize that our political, economic, social and technological environments are constantly changing, and thus management needs to be able to adapt quickly and accurately to the new conditions if companies are to survive, let alone prosper. I believe obtaining this Master's Degree will provide the necessary background for me to be able to anticipate and implement a proactive, if not a reactive, approach to ever-changing environments.
