Motivation Letter LLM HELP NEEDED

Hello everybody,
I am applying for LLM Program and have to write a letter of motivation. I have posted the letter underneath. It would be just great if someone who knows a lot about this type of letter could read it and give me some good advice

Here is:

My name is Natasa **** and I am from . With this letter I would kindly like to introduce my candidature for The Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy Program at The Fletcher School starting in the fall of 2008. I graduated in June 2004 from the and acquired bachelor degree. During my faculty studies was facing post war and post sanctions period, revolution and process of society transition that led to a start of my special interest in the Public International Law. Especially after the 1999 NATO bombardment of I became well aware of the fact that is in a total isolation of the rest of the world and that the best chance for a young person to help society to recover and heal is to study hard and try to understand differences between two worlds. In December 2002 I started to work in the Constitutional Court of the as a trainee lawyer and since I passed BAR exam in February 2005 I have been working as a legal adviser of the . In October 2002 I enrolled in Postgraduate studies of Public International Law at Belgrade Faculty of Law and at the preset time I am preparing Master thesis.

As a member of the Constitutional Curt Legal Service I have been dealing with cases concerning Serbian but also international legal system. This position provided me to identify some of the problems of Serbian transitional situation and helped me to recognize challenges in the process of implementation of international standards into Serbian legislation and practice. In addition, the Constitutional Court of Serbia is challenging environment which demands constant improvement of education and skills and at the same time gives an opportunity for its employees to participate in different seminars, conferences, public debates concerning presently relevant legal issues. The most valuable experience of mine has been participation in Regional Advanced Program on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in , were I had an opportunity to attend outstanding lectures and workshops together with colleges from all over the world. This kind of program provoked my aspiration for further study of law and strengthened my firm desire to try to venture abroad and learn more from and with the finest in the world. I realized that the best method of learning and true advancement is to become a part of international intellectual and professional surrounding that provides a different perspective of examining problems and valuable exchange of ideas and experiences.

Looking at the MALD Program materials and reading impressions of Fletcher's students I became certain that this school is the best place for me. Flexibility of the curriculum, multi-disciplinary courses and both academic and pragmatic approach of studding makes this program a perfect challenge for me and chance to upgrade my current knowledge and practice. International ambience and possibility to constantly communicate with students from different places with unique backgrounds and insights will be an opportunity to repair a feeling of geographic and intellectual isolation and also a place for better understanding of the complex nature of international affairs and a position of my country in it. Experiences and "mistakes" of others can contribute on improvement of fragile Serbian institution and political system and it seams to me that the could provided me with this knowledge.

Years ago I choose to build my future in and do all I can to make a difference in my society. The best way for me to help rebuild my country is to gain the best possible education and international experiences and try to implement that knowledge into Serbian system. The best place to get that knowledge is .

Should I have an honor and privilege of studding MALD Program, I would return to the Constitutional Court of Serbia and continue my court career with new impetus and motivation and would engage most actively in the process of legal, political and social transformation of .

I hope that I will be accepted as an applicant and a beneficiary of the Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy Program at The Fletcher School in the 2008/2009 academic year. I am confident that I am qualified and prepared to meet all of the requirements I will be presented with. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to your positive response.

Yours faithfully,
