Motivation Letter for Volunteer position.

I have written this motivation letter. I'd really appreciate if some of you could help to improve it or to correct possible mistakes. I want to deliver the best possible application.

Here it is:

Dear Mr/Mrs/Miss ___.

I am ***, a 21 years old student living in Madrid. With this letter I would like to apply for a position as a volunteer in *** . I have just finished my bachelor’s studies and I feel it’s the perfect moment to take part in social work. Hence, I would like to be involved in a project like yours since I believe it’s a great opportunity to learn and grow in several aspects. First of all, I consider specially interesting the topics related with *** , although I am open to participate in other kind of activities as well. Moreover, this work will help me to enrich my culture and language at the same time I learn from other people involved.

In July of this year I obtained my bachelor’s degree in economics at Universidad ***. Thanks to these studies I have developed particular interest in econometrics, statistics and research. Apart from that, during the last academic semester I have combined my studies with an internship in the Finance Department of ***. I also worked in my university's library during 2013's summer. Additionally, I have taught particular classes of math and economics to children and undergraduate students.

Besides my academic and professional experiences, I have expanded my activity to other fields. I have written about music and audiovisual entertainment for several online magazines. Furthermore, I have skills with Photoshop and some basic knowledge of video edition (Sony Vegas) as result of self-directed learning. In addition, I would like to mention my experience collaborating sporadically (along 2012-2013) with a social center called ‘***’. There I provided support to the organization of some events (concerts, BMX jams, talks…); designing posters, attending the public, advertising the events, preparing the space, etc.

I like to work with people so I have no problem being part of a team. Even though, I can take the responsibility and work individually as well. Finally, I will mention I am ready to meet new challenges and learn in new environments. Therefore, I will be really grateful if you give me a chance to take part in this project.
