MOTIVATION LETTER
My name is Safira Nur’allya Ramadhanty, a graduate from 28 Public Senior High School in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. I am writing this letter in hope that I could give you a picture of who I am and why I am motivated in applying for Bachelor of Business Engineering in Antwerp University.
Throughout my school years, subjects that are related to numerical problems such as Mathematics and Physics were the most engaging. Aside from spending a lot of time and efforts in those particular subjects, participating in organizing school’s events, being the president of school modern dance club and supporting friends, plays a big role in developing my transferable skills. These experiences make me establish the ability to identify and solve problems, an excellence communication skills, leadership and teamwork that will be necessary for me to do well and succeed in the future.
Engineers and Businesses are needed for an efficient and profitable development for a country. My native country Indonesia, has grown rapidly and improved its living standards in recent years. However, Indonesia’s growth has been uneven and making many severe economic issues. To overcome these arising issues, being someone who can be businesses with skilled technical engineers mind at the same time is the solution for me to contribute. The combination of business study and engineering principles will strengthen my ability to construct my ideas and focus my thoughts towards the interaction between different aspects in business and how they impact one another in order to develop effective and innovative business solution. Alongside, the study module of languages will allow me to communicate fluently not only national, but also international terms. For me, this is the way to fulfill one of my main goals, to develop Indonesia’s more advance business-economic society that will be beneficial for the environment, the economy and especially the poor.
As written above, I want to dedicate my career for Indonesia development. For this reason, I want to learn in Belgium as I look up to it for its safety, high quality of life and astounding multilingualism. I believe the knowledge I will receive in Antwerp University will be able to be applied in my future to become a professional that gives an impact on people’s life and mentor them to develop their own potential and achieve their goals. Remembering that, Antwerp University is a dynamic and forward thinking university with a remarkable ranking in the world and outstanding educational system. By being accepted in such a prestigious university will help me to be one step closer in achieving my dreams. Above all, Antwerp university ambition to contribute positively to society, its diversity and its freedom of expression and education are part of my reasons to choose this University.
With all those motivations that I have described above, I hope that you can give me the opportunity to participate in this program. In spite of the competitiveness and other highly motivated students, I am convinced that my qualities, experiences, and vision will open a chance for a place in your program.
