Motivation Letter for University

Hi everyone, I need help. Can someone tell me if this motivation letter is ok???? plz

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in applying for the Norwegian Language and Culture course in the University of Stavanger, starting in autumn 2013. I am a European citizen from Italy, I was born in Italy, indeed I have lived and studied there my whole life, however I moved to Stavanger (Norway) on the 5th of October 2012. I can see my future in Norway, and it is for this reason that I decided to send my application form to the Univertisy of Stavanger.

I believe my educational background would enable me to make a strong contribution at the University. I graduated in 2012, from the High School Almerico Da Schio of Vicenza (Italy), I studied various subjects relating to diverse aspects of economics, computer science and business management. My school performance has been always on top of class, I would like to continue my studies in order to gain knowledge and experiences. I believe that the Norwegian Language and Culture course would offer me the great opportunity to learn Norwegian. As I would like to continue to live in Norway, I believe it is very important to know the language of the place where I live; moreover the Norwegian Language and Culture course will give me the opportunity to continue my studies in Norwegian language. After having attended and completed a year of this course, my plan is to continue my studies; I would like to attend the Social Work – Bachelor’s Degree Programme, I am particulary interested in the Child Welfare.

Since I moved to Norway, I have always been in contact with children, I started to work with children, in fact I also worked as babysitter and as an au pair for some Norwegian families, and this inspired me even more to keep working in this area. I see my future in this sector, or otherwise in the Social Work sector. I believe that children are the future of the Society, and this is why I give a great importance to this sector. I am interested in working as a Social Worker because I have always felt the need to help people in difficulty, I have a special skill to listen to people, especially when they talk about their problems. As second choice, in the application form I chose Nursing because I think it could be a breat alternative as I also see my future job in the Health care sector. I believe that University gives to the students the opportunity to learn, to grow and to mature more and more. It would be an honor for me to attend and to be accepted from the University of Stavanger, I really hope you will take into consideration my application form.
