Motivation letter for summer school

I'm applying for a summer school and i need to write a motivation letter (at least 80 words long), this is what i've written by far.
I'd really love to have a feedback and read your suggestions for improvement.

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Roberta and next september i will start my last year of Economics and Management in Arts, Culture and Communication at L.Bocconi University.
I maintain education is fundamental to development and growth: it gives us the tools to better understand the environment we live in therefore I’m grateful for the studying opportunity my family has always given me.
I believe summer is the time of the year when we are given time to deepen our understanding of subjects we like, get to learn things we don’t know and live meaningful experiences. That is the reason why I’m really looking forward to attend this high quality summer course. I believe it would give me the opportunity to study in a safe and challenging environment collaborating with people from different countries and backgrounds and develop a crucial skill that can be applied to any industry. Besides I really love the fact that the theoretical background will be sustained by practical exercises so that we’ll have the chance to apply what we learn.
Furthermore we will be given the opportunity to earn the official PRINCE2® certificate and I think that is an added value to the structure of the course.
Nowadays project management plays a key role in in helping projects and organizations succeed and I recognize it will be a strategic skill for my future career.
