MOTIVATION LETTER FOR PhD

Please somebody check my English and give me suggestions to improve it .
I know it is a little short, and it doesn´t have much impressive information... I didn´t have much time to do it.

and now I have very little time to deliver it. Emotion: embarrassed

My reasons for pursuing a doctoral degree can be summarized in a single word: research.

I studied Chemical Engineering, from 2002-2007. During my studies, I was always a curious and research-active
student. I volunteered to help in the laboratory working on the project "Obtaining alcamides of Heliopsis longipes root". I did my professional practices in a refrigerator factory, there began my interest in polymers, there was a group of people working on the project to reduce the cure time of the polyurethane, I was impressed with polyurethane foam filling and also I found very interesting the process of extrusion and thermoforming.

I decided to study a master´s degree focused on polymers, from 2008-2010, at the Institute X. My project was about the crystallization process of polypropylene reinforced with carbon nanotubes functionalized. Throughout my studies I learned some experimental skills which are normally applied on polymer characterization like Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), Diferencial Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Small Angle X-Ray Scattering with Synchrotron Radiation (SAXS).

My plans are to be actively involved with research in an area that I love, such polymers. It is a field about optimizing technology and touches many scientific disciplines. Polymer is an exciting field with new frontiers to be discovered. I look forward to having a chance to use the theoretical knowledge practically.

It is, therefore, my sincere request for you to consider my application.
