Motivation letter for MSc - Proofreading
Hello all,
I would like to kindly ask if someone could read and suggest some corrections to my motivation letter for a MSc application.
I'm not an english native speaker, so any help would be great. Thank you.
Dear Selection Board for the MSc in xxxx.
I am applying for the Master of Science xxx as i find this a fascinating subject. By transforming people’s homes and surroundings into safer places, we are making a huge impact in the world, changing it into a better place to live.
After talking to some graduated students from the xxx University, i have no doubt that this application is one of the most important decisions i have taken in my academic, professional and personal life.
The program and courses chosen got my attention as they are really interesting as a whole, but especially the 3rd semester at the xxx University with the emphasis on the structural dynamics. Also, the mobility structure of the Masters is really appealing, with the classes being lectured by three renowned European Universities. I consider the possibility of having such an experience, in its educational, social and cultural parts top notch.
My current activity has stagnated, both in terms of career progress and also technically, so i am proposing myself a new challenge. Several years after finishing my studies in civil engineering i have decided that i must deepen my knowledge and i have chosen this area because i truly believe that i can excel on it and make the difference.
I expect that the experience i have gathered during the last ten years, especially working for a public service like the Department of Municipal Works, can be relevant giving a strong idea how things are done in public organizations, with all the legal constraints the law usually dictates.
You can expect me to be a mature, focused and committed student. My work and life experience can be a good influence for the class, although I consider myself quite young spirit wise.
Concluding, i would like to present my recognition for the opportunity that the xxx University is providing. I see this MSc in xxx as a major chance for improving my knowledge and experience, hoping that i can contribute for the continuous development of this Masters and my fellow colleagues. Thank you very much for considering my request.
