Motivation letter for Msc in Economics at Ruhr Uni Bochum, Germany

Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to you to express my interest and to apply for the Master Course, Master of Science (MSc) in Economics at Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB).

MSc in Economics is Master course where I see myself and where I want to continue my education and specialization. This Master program is attractive to me because it has a strong international orientation and is performed in English, furthermore it offers specialization in the field of International Economics and Finance in which I am particularly interested and I want to specialize. My professional goal is to complete the master program, and start a career at one of the international companies in the financial sector, and I also have a great interest in international trade.

At Ruhr-University Bochum I want to study primarily because it has a strong international profile, and brings together students from around the world, which is for me as a prospective student of International Economics very important. I especially like the way the study is conducted. Small groups and strong integration between professors and students guarantee the quality of teaching and dedication to student. Core and elective modules are both very interesting to me, especially International Trade, Monetary Economics and Financial Macroeconomics of whom I am expecting a lot and I believe it will prepare me for a future career in the field of finance and international economics.

Studying in English and living in Germany are special benefits, in spite of the fact I will go through a program of quality education, I will improve my English and German language skills which I find extraordinary value.

I believe that I am the right person for this course since I finished my undergraduate study of Economics, department of financial management. During the study, I worked as a sales representative for the company “Bijelic & Company” for two years. As a sales representative, I worked in the HoReCa sector (distribution of beverages), and I was responsible for sales and delivery of beverages in the entire region, maintaining contacts with existing and to establish contacts with potential retail partners. After my contract ended I received a written recommendation from the employer for the accomplishments and professional approach to work commitments. During my work and study, I have developed my communication and conceptual skills, I learned about the business, sales and finance both in theory at Faculty and in practice at work.

In Germany, I want to study because it has a very high quality education system, which has a strong international orientation. In addition, German is one of the strongest economies in the world and is a member of the world's top economic elite G7, which for me as a student of Economics is of particular importance.

I strongly believe that education in Germany will help me to fulfill my potential, and to give strong contribution to Germany, Croatia and Entire European Union.
